The most common changes on the ovaries are cysts, which are removed (and the ovary is preserved) if there is no suspicion of malignant changes.

Ovarian operations are performed laparoscopically (the camera and instruments are inserted through a small incision in the abdomen), last 30-60 minutes, and the patient is discharged from the hospital the day after the operation.

In the case of large cysts, the operation is performed through an open incision, and then the hospital stay is 1-3 days.
